This video shot at an Ocean Friendly Garden Assistance Party in Ventura, CA shows how volunteers cut away the homeowner's parkway curb and built bio-swales to capture, cleanse and absorb runoff from the street. The team at Z Dwellings (green builders) volunteered their time and hand-held concrete cutting saw to cut the curb. Representatives with G3/Green Gardens Group created the design. Toward the end of the video, volunteers test the curb to see that it works. With the City's help, the design will be turned into a standard plan and permit that a resident can pull at no-cost and do themselves.
