On September 7, 2013, NDSS and the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles co-hosted the Age of Change conference. Over the course of the day-long conference, presenters shared valuable information about a variety of topics relating to aging and Down syndrome.

Dr. Dennis McGuire helped to establish the Adult Down Syndrome Center, where he formerly served as the Director of Psychosocial Services. He has co-authored two books, "Mental Wellness of Adults with Down Syndrome" and "The Guide to Good Health for Teens and Adults with Down Syndrome," with Dr. Brian Chicoine. In this presentation, he draws on his experiences as a clinician to offer insight into the factors that affect emotional and mental health in adults with Down syndrome.
