The Lote Tree Institute brings you "13 Centuries of Islamic History". A 13 week course conducted by Sheikh Abu Ja'far Al-Hanbali on the history of Islam, from the period at the end of the rightly guided Khalifah, all the way up until today.

Lecture: Week 6 - Friday 5th November 7pm - 9pm

The 6th lecture in the series continues with the Abbasids. In this Century we see the rise of Salah ud-Din Al-Ayubi as he and his three famous generals reclaim the land of Jerusalem. This century also saw the fall of Constantinople to the Frankish people who devastated the city. Genghis Khan leads the Tartars across from the east leaving a path of devastation that eventually lead to the sacking of Baghdad.
