Who are the best experts on the Black male high school experience? Janol Vinson shared the challenges he faced in school including judgmental teachers and culturally inappropriate curriculum at June's CDF/ETS Symposium, Black Male Teens: Moving to Success in the High School Years. He is an Ella Baker Trainer and Servant Leader Intern for the CDF Freedom Schools program. Vinson has a bachelor's degree in middle grades education from Northern Kentucky University. This fall he'll start a graduate program in higher education administration at the Florida International University.
