In my coaching the #1 question I’m asked seems to surround role confusion of those two simple roles in Scrum called ScrumMaster and Product Owner. Questions like: Who can be a ScrumMaster? Is the ScrumMaster a full-time role? What does a ScrumMaster actually DO? Can’t a team member be a ScrumMaster? How many teams can a ScrumMaster handle? Are as incessant, as are these questions: Are the Product Owner decisions…final? Why can’t a Project Manager be the Product Owner? Does the Product Owner really need to interact a lot with the team? Our CEO is the Product Owner, is that ok? Our Product Owner is handling (and struggling with) 8 team backlogs; is that normal? In this webinar, join Enterprise Agile Coach Bob Galen as he explores the confusion, definition, and nuance surrounding these two relatively simple roles. The first part of the webinar will be a presentation – focusing on the basics of each role. But then Bob will open it up to audience questions – as he tries to once and for all, settle all the confusion. While you may not like or agree with the answers, Bob WILL provide helpful clarity around both roles.
