Baltazar Lucas has lost many family members to hepatitis but sadly he is not alone. One million people die from viral hepatitis in Asia Pacific each year. Chronic hepatitis causes 78% of all liver cancer cases with liver cancer being the second most common cause of cancer deaths in the region. Yet, only half the countries in Asia Pacific have a national hepatitis policy.
