Wow. Thanks for all the info Dr. Mercola! All the information you talked about I already have experienced. I wanted to make a change in my lifestyle to feel better and made a dramatic change in my diet by going vegan. I felt I was missing so much on meat and I would feel lightheaded and dizzy at times and now I'm going back to a more hybrid type diet. Before I would eat a ton of process foods and have less energy but now I may the Atkins diet to see where that takes me.

I can only eat fat and meat.. the more fat the better. The carbs make me sick and cause bloating. I eat mostly "B" foods.... Bacon, beef, broccoli, butter and bananas.... with 6 eggs every day. I Can't eat the lectins, grains, dairy or the nightshades at all. Nightshades, grains and dairy killed everyone in the family. I love fatty ribs... I can eat unlimited amounts.. 3 racks of ribs in one sitting is like heaven lol.... and I stay thin. I soak my food in the bacon fat. All the grease goes all over my food... I need the fat more than anything. Everything is cooked on low heat and not overcooked. Wont touch any vegetable oils period.

This is so true.  Years ago, when I had a few pounds to lose, I tried the low fat diet.  I lost a little bit, about 10 pounds, but it never budged after that.  I then tried the low carb diet.  I got Dr. Atkins book, back in the day, and I read that thing cover to cover.  You can always tell when someone has NOT read that book by the idiotic comments they make about "a pound of bacon".  Anyway, wow!  That diet worked!  The weight fell off, I was never hungry, I had tons of energy, and I never got sick.  I've never really liked bread, never really cared for bread based or flour based sweets, so that wasn't hard.  The only thing that was hard was loss of Americanized Chinese food...but that is the one that worked for me, and I was easily, easily able to stick with it.  BUT, that would not work for someone else.  You are absolutely right, that each person must find what works for them and their bodies.  Not everyone will need the same diet.  This is an idea that has been spoken of here and there over the years, but too many people are still prone to listen to doctors.  No offense to this doc, but most doctors take years of schooling on how to treat with very little to no classes on nutrition.  Same with veterinarians, by the way.  They can treat a symptom, what they lack is knowing how to heal.  I've been lucky enough in life to have worked for a vet who did know about animal nutrition, (exoctic pet and bird vet), and I've been lucky enough to have a chiropractor AND dentist who both knew that what goes on in the mouth and spine, and what you put IN TO your system is what makes you have better health.
