Diablo 3 Hit Lag:

When the skeleton kicks the animation for it is longer than the swing animation, yet uses the same timer for the damage output! (which is faster than the kick animation)

Blizz is taking the money and pissing on us. 
This is the main reason I have requested a refund. I can see you also have a "green bar" aswell. My ping sits anywhere from 200 - 350 with frequent spikes of of 500+ which makes the hit detection terrible and I get heaps of rubber-banding.
The more difficult a game is, the more egregious stuff like this becomes. I noticed this with my Demon Hunter and it absolutely sucks. I die in one hit normally and overusing defensive skills hastens my death, but I don't have much of a choice when the character models and animations bear only a vague representation of what's actually happening. The less responsive the game is, the more it relies on luck rather than skill.
Latency makes it worse. I have been hit by a mob before when there has been two mobs between him and me.
This was made by design and they had better change it. Game breaking.
I don't think Hardcore players would call a mechanical flaw that could effectively render their hard-fought characters and strategies useless due to lame design 'nit picking'
in inferno this often means death when on my screen i would have lived, being yards away from the monster already
