Hi YT, welcome to the first video in a series I will be uploading about developing flash games for free. If you don't have the cash to spend on expensive software such as the Flash IDE, I can get you started with free alternatives. We will start by setting up our workspace and adding core functionality before we move onto more game design related topics. Why flash? It's still the most widely used browser game platform, and infrastructure to monetize and distribute flash games has developed to the point where it's simple to start raking in the pennies with eCPM ads, or sell/auction complete games on sites like flashgamelicense.com. You can also port your games to mobile eventually using Adobe Air, if you so desire. I will be focusing on PC browser games for now.
