The Mindfulness Movie is a reflection of the increasing awareness and scientific research by people across the world using mindful practices. The Mindfulness Movie celebrates those that have reshaped mindfulness into everyday practical skills. It's as simple as paying attention! Now, neuroscientists tell us this changes the brain.
Throughout the film, we encounter inspiring people and ideas on how changing the way we see can change our lives. We first get answers to the two basic questions: what is mindlessness? And what is mindfulness? We journey into the neuroscience of why the brain—90% of the time—defaults to a mindless mode. We take a trip into the world of mindfulness and are guided by leading world experts into eight essential aspects. It examines studies showing why we function at a more highly effective level when we change our default mindless mode to a mindful mode.
The Mindfulness Movie tells the heartfelt stories of several military personnel and teenagers using mindfulness to overcome stress, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. It connects the audience with real examples of personal initiative and challenges us to engage the world in a new way.
