Racing Through Baltimore Harbor Tunnel:
Do you want to experience racing through the Harbor tunnel with the speed you have never done before? Last year I went through the Harbor tunnel with about boring 50 Miles per hour (it takes you approx. 100 second to get through) and captured it on video. The video starts with that speed. But to prevent you from getting bored I have cutted the 100 second down to 20 seconds. BUT WATCH THE NEXT SPEEDS COMING UP!!
How did I do it? Well from wikipedia I know the length of the tunnel is 7650 feet, that makes 1.45 miles or 2.33 Kilometer (1 Mile = 1.609344 Kilometer) but lets go by miles. While editing the video-stream all I had was the length of the tunnel and the amount of seconds it took me to reach the end of the tunnel. So in 100 seconds I would leave 1.45 miles behind me. That equals 0.0145 miles/s. And 0.0145 x 60 x 60 equals 52.2 miles/h.
After that I went by 100s/2 so I would get 50 second, I ended up with 48 second though but thats ok. With the same procedure I started all over again.
To verify my calculation just take your stop watch and check if I am right. Have fun.
