Multiple misfires, misfeeds and malfunctions of the Walther P22

If the Walther P22 is a Smith & Wesson version, it unfortunately requires a .22 LR round of 40 grains or a higher velocity round such as Fiocci, in order to bring the slide back. A 36 grain round such as Federal or Remmington bulk ammo round will not allow the gun to fire efficiently (in my experience). I own the S&W version, and I have gone through the same frustration, however, now that I know what ammo to run through the gun, it fires efficient and hardly ever fails. Hope this helps.

I've since switched to CCI Varmint, 32 grain, 1,640 fps at muzzle. No more issues and the ammo isn't expensive. Problem solved for my Walther P22...
Admit is commenters, the P22 does suck..its not just that it doesn't cycle on cheap ammo (in contrast to the Mark III), its design is flawed! The whole slide can fall of under fire, b/c the retaining clip is cheap as dirt.

Get the P22 bible. It shows the flaws in this gun and a few steps you can take to make it work like it should. Walther should have made these mods at the factory instead of just telling people to use 1 brand of ammo. How idiotic. I will never buy a Walther again.

I have the same problem. Mines just don't fire at all

My sister in-law had the same issue with my p22. She could not hold it properly. A few hundred rounds outside of her trial without an issue. That and your stance was like your getting ready to shoot a polymer .45 ACP or a .50 action express. It's a freaking .22 with no recoil. Not a .44 mag

are special ed types allowed to posses and review guns? i own two and they are simply the best.  my preferred ccw with cci ammo, but regardless of the ammo, both guns work flawlessly.  sometimes i really wonder why someone like this guy post videos, i'm now wondering how i suffered through some of it even though i was skipping most of it.  now i've got a headache.

should look into sr22 a lot better

What ammunition are you shooting, fucktard? I've fired about 1k rounds through my walther, all "CCI" ammunition, and have had very few malfunctions. What sucks is your ginger ass posting sub par reviews, with your blatant inexperience in the subject matter. Your negative reviews say it all, poser.

PFFFFFFFFT........ You can hit me up on LinkedIn if you want further guidance. I'll even give you a discounted rate for having special needs.

4:00 - "...bullet that's not copper coated". Lol. "Copper coated". It's obvious you must be a leading authority judging by the terminology you use. (hahahahaha). Also, "who wants to worry about type of ammo?" is the dumbest question ever. Go find a new hobby or get educated on a thing or two like how most semi-autos kick the slide back by a thing called "blowback" and why ammo DOES matter when it comes to creating enough pressure to achieve blowback (not to mention everything else regarding ammo importance). You're in the group of people who justify why YouTube should make a new feature that lets the public remove your video because it's retarded.
I've run over 1000 rounds in mine and never had a single problem. They are amazing little pistols. You either have a bad one or the ammo is crap or something. All of my friends own them as well and everyone's runs smooth as glass.
