Well, it's about time I got this up and running! Are you sick and tired of overprocessed, unnatural, and just plain lousy guitar sounds? Are you fed up with the ever widening selection of crappy amps? Are you trying every kind of pedal and preset you can find and still not getting the sound you want? How many times have you plugged into an amp and wondered how the hell anyone could sell something that sounded so AWFUL? Well, have no fear, Chris DeNicola is here! (Ego alert.) And I'm armed with TUBE AMPS! In this miniseries, I will be demonstrating, breaking down, and exploring some of the tonal possibilities of tube amps, and giving some insight as to how they tick, and how to get the most out of them. My goal here is to show guitar players of all experience levels how to get a REAL sound out of a REAL amp. In short, if you're unhappy with the sound you're getting, stick around, and we'll fix that! New episodes will be posted on Wednesdays and Fridays. First on the menu: the Marshall JVM210H!
