Update on Live Cam MAY 11, 2017

It is now apparent that we will be unable to fix the cam due to the proximity of the nest and the age of the chicks. The well being of Ricky & Lucy's chicks is the most important part of this live cam. We do have a plan B. Working on the details. Hopefully we will be able to announce them in a day or two. It will involve a second cam installed further away and fund raising will be needed! My guess at the moment is that we should have a cam up in about a week and we will see inside the nest, just maybe not as close up as before.

MANY thanks to all the peeps/Media outlets/Facebook friends and complete strangers who have sent well wishes and support through both the first and second cam fail. It has not been an easy journey but worth the ride! I never could have imagined the many lives these beautiful birds would have touched in such a short amount of time. I can imagine how many more they will touch when we get this project running the way we dreamed it would be.

Never Ever Give Up! Thanks for staying with us!

PS. There was a teacher from an Elementary school in SC (Maybe Greenville? Teachers name was Beckham I think?) that reached out to us on the Live Chat, please contact me, I would like your class to help us name the first chick! I also have 2 other classes in mind to help name the other chicks.

Stay tuned 🙂

1. This is a personal live cam on private property located on Lake Murray in South Carolina. You will hear music playing often. It drowns out our personal conversations to the YouTube world. On occasion we may mute the mic.
2. Objects below the nest are NOT as close as they appear. Cars or people seen below the nest are probably about 20 to 30 feet away.
3. The Live Chat is not moderated 24/7 so if something not cool appears, please email LakeMurrayOsprey@gmail.com Thanks.
