A little demonstration on how the Swedish traditional shepards flute called Härjedalspipa sound. It has a distinct hissing sound, "blue" tones and it really make you feel like you are standing somewhere in the deep Swedish forest of Härjedalen. Because of the non-tempered scale you here can hear how the sometimes so-called Swedish "blues" sounds like. The tune is a traditional shepards tune (probably played on a cow horn once upon a time, of course much slower and with less notes) from the district where this flute originates.
