I have heard this one from 4-5 people, "I just can't think like that." Wow, great speech. I'm 30 years old and your my teacher. No so much on the ideas but definitely on the approach of this debate.

When I talk to statists I end up getting them putting their fingers in their ears saying LALALALALALALLA" Literally I have had that happen :)

Vouchers are a Trojan horse, but from the religious right, not the teachers unions. You have misrepresented the NEA's position. And nice Godwin's law violation at the end.

@Lecktronick He violated it because the analogy was poor.

You gave a wonderful talk, Mr. Veinotte. Thanks for uploading this series. I'm a bit disappointed that it ended so abruptly during the Q&A section. Is there an uninterrupted version of this speech up on your website? I suppose I'll check the podcast section, since you said the speech would be a podcast episode. Thanks!

@Threshingfloor814 He didn't violate Godwin's law. He conformed to it.
Lek Tronik
@Threshingfloor814 To violate Godwin's law is to not have any analogy at all. If there is an analogy which compares something to the ideas of Hitler, the quality is irrelevant concerning said law.
