On March 11, 2011, the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station suffered a severe accident brought about by the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
After the accident, efforts towards decommisioning started. Although it is an unprecedented challenge never faced before in the world, advancement has been made steadily.
Progress towards revitalization beyond the mere restoration of Fukushima has also been made.

In this movie, Fukushima Today is presented from a variety of angles, including the current status of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and the progress of various measures toward decommissioning, the improvements in the work environment at the actual decommissioning sites, the aid for residents affected by the nuclear incident and measures for securing food safety.
