Today, U.S. Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) encouraged colleagues to swiftly approve the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 a measure to create a public and privately sponsored campaign to promote international travel to the United States. Senator Martinez, a co-sponsor of the bill, noted the many benefits travel brings to Floridas economy including the creation of new jobs.
