Progressive Book Club asks Gail Collins, the author of "When Everything Changed", about one book that was integral to the Women's Movement of the past 50 years. She chooses The Feminine Mystique by Betty Freidan.

"It was a very simple book. It was 'It's not your fault. You deserve to have a job.' That was basically all she was saying. But at that moment... it was huge."

Gail Collins is an op-ed columnist for the New York Times. From 2001-2007, she served as the first female Editorial Page Editor at the Times. Her latest book, "When Everything Changed", chronicles the journey of women from 1960 through the present day. "When Everything Changed" is available now at: http://www.progressivebookclub.com/pb...
