This video started as a documentary project that my mother wanted to create for her students of Public School 25 in Elizabeth, NJ of the arrival of the Enterprise to the Intrepid's Museum in New York City which actually turned out to be a lot of fun. I found out that the Weeks Co. monster crane No. 533, (500 Ton crane) that you see in this video from Weeks Company was actually one of the many cranes that my grandfather worked on as a welder years ago. I bet that had my grandfather been alive today, he would have loved to witness this historical event.

If you want to fast forward through the video, here are three key markers to help you:

YouTube video Marker 00:20 -- The afternoon of June 3rd, 2012 when the Space Shuttle Enterprise was first seen from New Jersey on it's travel from Kennedy Airport over to Weeks Marine docks in Jersey City, New Jersey.

YouTube video Marker 6:22 -- The morning of Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 showing footage from the Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ where we captured the Space Shuttle Enterprise's crossing the NY/NJ bay on it's way to the Intrepid Museum from the Weeks Marine Facility in Jersey City.

YouTube video Marker 12:22 -- Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 footage from New York City showing the preparation work to hoist the shuttle which also shows when they placed it on top of the Intrepid Museum.

Hope you enjoy it!
