In a recent article in Development (Vol 144 Issue 4) Stefan Luschnig and colleagues from the Universities of Münster and Zürich investigate the consequences of impaired mRNA splicing on development. These videos show timelapse recordings of embryos mutant for faint sausage, which encodes a subunit of the spliceosome-activating Prp19 complex.
