Synopsis:

Fruits as we know them today are far removed from their wild origins. They've been cultivated and refined for thousands of years, inseparable from human history and culture. Wars have been fought over them, nations have been built on them. The story of fruit is the story of humanity, and by following people for whom it is a life-consuming obsession, we can learn not just about the natural world, but ourselves.
