Normally he hates when I put coconut oil on his beak and/or feet.
In drier climates and especially in the winter his beak and feet can get a little dry and flaky so I put organic coconut oil on them regularly (once or twice a week depending) to keep them nice and healthy.
I'm unsure why he seems to dislike it so, I know other cockatoos that have the same dislike towards it lol.
After all you'd think it'd feel good on dry skin right? π lol
It's completely in harmless of course.
Anyways! He behaved so amazingly well during this oil session! I started recording it to capture him running away from me when I bring the oil out but he sat so nicely and even gave me a kiss at the end instead!! ππ. I was kind of shocked lol he wasn't even mad at me afterwards.

I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking this sad truth is.... Too many people impulse buy parrots because of cute or funny traits they'vet seen in other birds.
A life stuck in a cage is cruel and so unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures.
They deserve the absolute best!
If you are interested in a parrot, adopt one because you have the time, money, patience, energy and if you want to save them from a life stuck behind bars, not solely because they are cute or funny or talk etc.
Again parrots are a LIFETIME commitment.
They can live up to 80+ years!!
I've given up many many things to give my two parrots and other animals the best life they can possibly have!
It is an honor to share our lives with these amazing creatures, remember that....
Please do your research before adopting.
After all, we have our friends, our jobs, and our hobbies.
