This is an overview of techniques and design issues in the use of touch tablets / touch pads in interacting with computers. The work ilwas done by the Input Research Group (IRG) at the University of Toronto in 1985. The paper appeared in the proceedings of the 1985 SIGGRAPH conference, and was authored by William (Bill) Buxton Ralph Hill & Peter Rowley.
