Ever wondered what actually happens to the ocean when upwelling occurs? This ODFW research footage caught some of the action and explains a bit of the oceanographic processes behind it. This video shows what the bottom of the ocean looks like near Redfish Rocks Marine Reserve in May 2016, it shows the water visibility changing drastically from crystal-clear blue to pea-soup green.
