Karen King found it challenging working as a carpenter in a male-orientated environment, but a quest to find out more about her rights has led to a new role as a Health and Safety and Computing advisor. Her dedication and commitment to improving her life through learning was recognised with a Learning Works Award as part of Adult Learners' Week 12 - 18 May 2012.
