Some scenes of Long Wharf in New Haven, Connecticut on February 13, 2011. You can see the pier for the Amistad ship, I-95, some of the port's business and industrial area, and a few nature shots.

The video was shot with a Sony BVW-D600 Betacam SP one-piece camcorder. The video is a bit soft only because of the really old 2/3 lens I put on it just to get it up and running. It's got some fungus across one of the inside lenses and softens the image a bit.

From what I've read, the BVW-D600 is probably one of the best analog cameras ever made. It's original price was over $50,000 new and it still works fine!! It came with a Rycote Softie wind screen for the mic. That alone is over $100 new. But, it also came with the mic, viewfinder with swivel kit, Anton Bauer battery mount, and tripod plate. The 2/3" Fujinon lens came from an ancient Sharp 3-tube camera from the 80's! I'm working on getting the proper Fuji IF double extender lens that goes with it. That should make a huge difference.

The clips were edited in iMovie 2009 and a bit of post processing gave a little more contrast to offset the dullness of the lens used. I also converted the video from 4:3 to a 16X9 frame. It seems to work well with minimal loss of quality.
