The July 4th fireworks display in Springfield VA actually took place on July 2nd. Here it is in living color. I'm not sure why the sound does not come through more realistically, when we watched the display in person from a few hundred yards away the concussion of the salutes was earth-shaking, but only a small pop is audible on the video. I suspect the camera can only pick up some of the frequency range of the detonations, so the effect of the concussion is lost in translation. Anybody know how that works?
