In 2009, the National Down Syndrome Society presented An Evening with William I. Cohen, M.D.

The late Dr. Cohen specialized in developmental and behavioral pediatrics in the Child Development Unit of the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was director of the Down Syndrome Center of Western Pennsylvania and an associate professor of pediatrics and psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Cohen also co-founded the Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group and was the medical editor of Down Syndrome Quarterly.

NDSS provides free talks and webinars to anyone who is interested in learning more about Down syndrome and related topics, such as health, education, research and family life.
