Taloc Normal and Taloc Heroic guide! This Taloc guide will show you the Taloc abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the Taloc fight. Mythic Taloc has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic Taloc guide. Taloc is a fight with no obvious tank swaps- but there's still plenty for Tanks to do on Taloc. Heroic Taloc is mechanically the same as Normal Taloc- but everything will have more health, hurt more and targets may be chosen in higher numbers.

Taloc Tank Guide: There is no obvious tank swap or stacks mechanic. On Taloc tank is responsible for running the Cudgel of Gore (red arrow over tank's head) into large areas of Blood Storm pools to clear out space for the raid. In Phase 2 when the Taloc elevator starts to descend, one tank should pick up the Coalesced Blood (sha-looking add) and slowly pull it around the edge of the platform in a circle to avoid standing on the blood pools. The other tank should go run into and explode the Volatile Droplets before they get within 5 yards of the group.

Taloc is largely a fight about space management, and curiously enough Taloc is tougher in his first phase (with less space) than he is in the final phase. Stack up Blood Storms as best as you can, and the tank can run Cudgel of Gore into the Blood to clear it. During Cudgel of Gore the rest of the raid should be as far from the Cudgel tank as possible to reduce raid damage. Being anywhere near the Cudgel will overwhelm the raid. Avoid the Sanguine Static and you're mastered most mechanics in the Taloc fight.

In the elevator phase, look below to see the Uldir Defense Beams and avoid their locations. Stack up with the tank and move slowly around the edge while focusing all damage on the Coalesced Blood adds. You should be able to completely ignore Taloc's Volatile Droplet adds since the off tank should be popping them before they get in range.
