I was messing around with trying to get the FM Receiver working on the touch pro, there is alot of discussion on this at http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.... I figured some things out that i thought would be worth while to share. 1. Does the TP have the correct hardware? YES it does 2. Can the software coppied from a GSM device work with it? Yes.....But....The audio outputs and antenna input to the chip must not be connected somewhere. this video shows the touch scanning through the band and finding no stations, then it is placed directly on the Antenna of a FM Transmitter running about 5Watts of Power, and then it scans through the band and stops on 92.9MHz, which is the correct frequency that the transmitter is on. But there is still no sound coming from the headphones or speaker when selected. I also tried the BT headset just for the hell of it , and still nothing. also note the bars to the sides of the frequency, they are only at about half scale. This tells us that the antenna must also not be connected on the chip. Being right ontop of an fm Transmitter running that much rf output should produce a full scale reading. Conclusion.....Even if we somehow got the sound to work,if the pins by some chance arent disconnected, the sensitivity is still so bad, that you wouldnt pick up any stations anyway. Hope this video helps
