This morning, Benedict XVI made a private and personal visit to the Society of the Divine Word's house in Nemi, a short distance from his Summer Residence in Castel Gandolfo. In fact, in 1965 the theologian Joseph Ratzinger stayed at the house during the Second Vatican Council, in which he participated as a perito. The Society's General Chapter is currently underway there and on July 3 a new superior general was elected: Father Heinz Kuluke, a missionary in the Philippines.
