I hate the standard AK sights, so I bought a Leapers UTG 5th Generation Quick Detachable Picatinny-Style Double Rail Mount so I could put a Bushnell red dot on it. I added a light on the side since the rail would accommodate it. I also put on a pair of Quake Bushwacker See-Thru Yellow Optics Covers to keep the red dot safe. It ain't pretty. But it shoots and shoots. When removing and remounting the scope mount, the sight maintains zero very well. The scope mount makes up for some of the AK's inherent inaccuracy. The wood furniture is ugly, but I'm not worried about scratching it up.
I don't know what other specific guns this rail will fit on. I get this question a lot. I've posted a vid response with some close-ups if you want to compare it to your rifle.
