This is an over-two-and-a-half hours-long video condensed into five minutes by playing it at about 3400% speed.

dat process.

In October 2005, when I was twelve years old, my mom starting to show symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis and could barely walk for six months. A few weeks before all this started, I fell during gym class and broke my ankle in three places and was also unable to walk for quite some time.
Ever since I was little, we've had an extravagent Christmas tree, thanks to my mom who spent hours working on it every year. But since she couldn't even stand by herself, my parents decided that we wouldn't decorate that year. Having seen eleven of our lovely Christmas trees, I was heartbroken, and despite my own injuries decided that I would build the tree.

So for the past five years, decorating for Christmas has been solely up to me (well, my brother would sometimes help before he moved out, and this year Danielle helped me a bit.) I've always wanted to document the long long process, and now I have~ So enjoy that.

Yes, I realize that timestamp is funky - it's not actually going by minutes, but by seconds because I only had a twenty-minute timestamp, so I just cut it down to two and a half minutes and then stuck it on the video, speeding it up accordinly, but it still looks wonky... the end result is accurate, so it's really not a big deal.
