The 1984 Fiesta Bowl may have been Earle Bruce's best bowl win. Action was slow and uneventful, with Ohio State maintaining a 14-7 edge at half and through the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, however, the Panthers tied the score at 14 with a Clint Wilson endzone fumble recovery on offense. Keith Byars took the ensuing kickoff. In Keith's words (http://espn.go.com/abcsports/bcs/fies...

"They were kicking off, and I was like, 'I hope they kick it to me, so I can make something big happen," says Byars.

Byars made something huge happen, returning Snuffy Everett's kickoff 99 yards for the touchdown.

"You don't forget things like that run," says Byars. "I'll be telling my grandkids about that play 40 years from now. You live for those kind of moments."

The Buckeyes ended up winning with a dramatic 89yd drive that culminated in a Thad Jemison TD with 39 seconds left to play.
