Here's a video celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program, one of the most significant and successful national partnerships to benefit conservation in American history. Since the program's inception in 1937, it has created a nationwide legacy of fish & wildlife conservation and habitat protection worth more than $12 billion supported by your purchases of hunting gear, fishing tackle, motorboat fuel, and hunting/fishing licenses.
In the Tarheel state, purchases by hunters, anglers and boaters contribute to the State's economy by helping create more than 29,000 jobs and bringing in $1.7 billion in income.
Thanks to our friends at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service for producing this video and allowing the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission to post an edited version.
