I originally started playing this game for its music. To me that's still the best part of the game (I love every single track in the game, it's so catchy and full of high-spirited energy!) but I ended up enjoying the gameplay more than I thought I would too. I initially found it awkward due to the multidirectional weapon and the non-automatic scrolling, but as I played it more I got a better sense of where each weapon is best, and I grew to like the stage design, with its simple but intense bullet attacks (though I didn't survive long enough for the rank to truly kick into gear) and enemy movements working with terrain to encourage a variety of movement patterns and effective use of cover. I also realized that the game gives tons of bombs and it's perfectly fine to use some to get past troublesome sections. I struggled for a while with my own propensity for silly mistakes like running off ledges, but managed to get my act together long enough to get this clear. If I can improve my consistency I'd like to go for multiple-loop clears in this - I really enjoy the rush of being fully powered up and sprinting through the levels, and I imagine it's even more thrilling with the enemies' bullets rushing past at high velocity.
