Professor Mark Kern of San DIego State University gave the UA's spring Well U lecture on March 9, 2011.

Reading labels at the grocery store can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to the slew of sugars that might pop up on the ingredients list. Do you really know the difference between sucrose, high fructose corn syrup, agave nectar and so on? To help clear up some of the confusion, Mark Kern, a professor in the department of exercise and nutritional sciences at San Diego State University, spoke on campus about "The Sweet Truth: Unraveling the Myths and Mysteries of Fructose."

The UA Well University (Well U) Partnership is committed to creating, supporting and sustaining individual health and well-being, developing responsive and productive work environments, and fostering a supportive wellness culture within the University of Arizona community.
