Ever wonder how to make homemade southern biscuits? These are the best southern biscuits in the world! Light and flaky!

This is a video of my momma making homemade biscuits the same way she was taught by her own momma.

Made from only four ingredients:
Self-Rising Flour, Shortening, Buttermilk, & Water.

Note: We used a powdered buttermilk mix, but real buttermilk can also be used.

The oven was heated to 500 degrees before starting. The biscuits are baked for about 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

These biscuits are great with honey, jelly, gravy, or just butter. Have them for breakfast, lunch, or supper. Now you can make homemade southern biscuits yourself.
