A fully subtitled beginning to end playthrough of Jaleco's 1991 Famicom game, Tsuru Pika Hagemaru: Mezase! Tsuru Seko no Akashi (つるピカハゲ丸めざせ!つるセコの証), from http://www.nintendocomplete.com

A really quirky, offbeat game that's virtually unheard of in the US, even among the gamers that regularly get into Japanese-exclusive Famicom games. Based on a long-running manga and anime series, it follows a little bald boy (his name means "Bald Circle") trying to rid the world of its problems on a quest to prove himself worthy of the title "Bald Cheapskate King."

Please excuse any potential inaccuracies with the translation. It is entirely my own, and there was a lot of text. It's been quite awhile since I've really done much reading in Japanese, and there is also a lot of distinctly colloquial speech in the game, which is certainly not my forte. I'm confident that its coherent and the great majority is accurate, however.

Either way, I hope you enjoy this this look at a really fun game that has never before seen an English translation of any sort! This took a considerable amount of time, so if you have any thoughts, please leave them in the comments!

(Near the ending, there is one scene where the subtitle reads "Made at the Elementary School". This should say "Made by Shougakukan", a company involved in the production of the series... "shougaku" means elementary school, so the subtitle is not accurate there.)

No cheats were used in playing this game.
