House Republicans are holding their big annual fundraiser tonight, but their headliner recently had some choice words to describe their dysfunction.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker said: "We're not here speaking on behalf of Republicans on the Hill. We're speaking on behalf of Republican governors. The difference is we're providing leadership."

So the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today released a video questioning whether Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker will be so honest tonight.

"Governor Scott Walker told the truth about House Republicans when he bluntly called them out for failing to lead, but there are no signs that House Republicans intend to listen," said Emily Bittner of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "In fact, House Republicans are poised to vote on a budget that is a giveaway to the wealthy and special interest corporations and asks middle class families and seniors to pay even more. At tonight's dinner, will Governor Walker deliver some straight talk to the House Republicans or will he paper over their dysfunction and chaos?"

Governor Walker is hardly alone in his critique of the House Republicans' dysfunction and extremism. This week, even the Republican National Committee released a report that described the federal wing of the party as "ideologically rigid [...] unable to speak to a wide electorate and increasingly viewed by voters as indifferent to the struggles of average people."
