The battle for dominance in the vote rich western Kenya region between Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi has reached fever pitch with presidential hopefuls from other regions seemingly watching from a distance. Odm has for the past three days intensified its grassroots campaigns to maintain its lead in the region amid the emerging challenge from Mudavadi's entrance into the race. Mudavadi's new political vehicle, the united democratic forum party has equally embarked on a mission to popularise itself in the region.
