For the Art Licks Weekend 2016 Video in Common commissioned a special interview with DKUK gallery/salon founder Daniel Kelly about starting out as a gallery space, alternative business models for independent spaces and encouraging non-arts audiences to engage with artists and their work.

DKUK is a Peckham-based unisex salon with a difference, instead of a mirror clients look at art while they get their haircut. DKUK was opened by artist/hairdresser Daniel Kelly who worked at Toni & Guy before training as an artist. When Kelly combined the two separate areas of his life he stumbled on a new way to look at art in the informal environment of a hairdressing salon.
