Troops to Teachers takes one man from a position in the Armed Forces to a High School Special Ed Teacher.

"When someone asked me to pursue special education as a career I thought they were crazy. Did they know I came from the military?"

Roosevelt Dickerson isn't your average Chief Master Sergeant. He's a thinker. A doer. And an influencer.

"But then again, I've always been the type of person who needs a challenge. And Regis gave me that challenge."

When Dickerson left the military, he didn't quite know what to do next. It wasnt until Bob Leonard, Colorado State Director of Troops to Teachers, proposed he attack the challenges of the special education classroom, that he finally found a focus. And with a Master's degree in Education with Licensure from Regis University's School of Education & Counseling, he found the tools to zero in on that focus.
