0:18 "Intervene or not?" This was aired at the point German politics had not intervene in the conflict and it was public discussion if they should or should not. Uthoff (or the character he plays) represented the Interventionists in this episode.

0:22 The somewhat quirky term "ISIS understander" is derived from the term "Putin understander"/"Russia understander", a literal translation of a German term coined to descendingly smile at those who argument that EU politicians should have known that the continued expansion of the EU would threaten Russia. This term was discussed in most of the important newspapers.
