For fans of Eowyn & Legolas.

Clips from "Lord of the Rings."
Music: "Skellig" & "Dante's Prayer" by Loreena McKennitt.

Part two of a trilogy of fan music videos about my favorite two Lord of the Ring warriors: Legolas, the archetype of a demi-god on earth, and Eowyn, a lethal combination of feminine and fierce (see note). If I were a Real Writer, instead of a techie playing with video editors, this would be their story.

The music is from "The Book of Secrets" by Loreena McKennitt, Canadian Celtic musician extraordinaire. All the tracks on that CD inspired the formation of this video. The first half of the video is scored by "Skellig", the second half of the music is the opening of "Dante's Prayer."

The lines are from "The Farewell" in Kahlil Gibran's "The Prophet." I'm not comparing Legolas to the voice of the prophet, but there are obvious similarities about a man's departure in a ship.

I started in the middle of my video making trilogy and am working my way towards the two ends. What's with the cheesy video title? It's a tentative placeholder until I can figure out what to really name it.

This music video is dedicated to a fellow Lord of the Rings fan, formerly on fanfiction.net as "thehardestbuttontobutton." Her weave of words are as the finest of mithral.
