The RHB or Rorschach Heiden Bahn is just leaving Heiden, passing the road, a loading platform, providing intermittent views down to the Lake of Constance, and over the lake to the Austrian Pfänder mountain. Some typical Appenzell farmhouses are seen as well. We then get a brief overview of the consist with three generations of rolling stock. The old, but beautifully renovated open-sided two-axle cars are apparently a normal part during the warmer period of the year. This is one of the very few standard-gauge cogwheel railroads of Switzerland. The only other ones I know of are the two railroads going up on the Rigi mountain.
