The research project Above the Parapet seeks to capture the experiences of high profile women who have shaped public life. Professor Tamale is a Ugandan feminist scholar and the first woman to serve as dean of the Faculty of Law at Makerere University, Uganda. We were delighted to have Professor Tamale as our third senior visiting fellow at the Institute of Public Affairs.
