AV Super Sunshine is undoubtedly among today’s most creative and compelling new artists, crafting an idiosyncratic sonic universe where classic rock and contemporary dance music share equal space, a holistic hybrid approach that re-imagines psychedelia, art rock, glam, R&B, pop, and experimental electronica into a innovative sound all his own. The Wisconsin-based musician first began making music in 2013, his lysergic melding of archetypal and modern sounds earning the attention of GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer/songwriter James House, who invited the talented new artist to record at Nashville’s Grand Victor Sound, the historic studio now owned and operated by the one and only Ben Folds.

2015 saw AV Super Sunshine unleash his debut EP, “Just Like Kurt” as well as his first full-length release, “Baby Goodbye” both of which achieved unprecedented chart success at both CMJ and Billboard, where the original single version of “Baby Goodbye” reached #7 on the “Hot Singles Sales” chart.

Released by KES Music/Victor House Records in 2016, “Bass Face” has proven a major breakthrough for AV Super Sunshine, spawning a number of hits across college radio and an array of Starfleet Music Pool charts. The album sees AV Super Sunshine elevating his already visionary approach to new heights with the assistance of iconic bassist/producer/remixer Michael Bradford. Known for his RIAA platinum-certified crossover collaborations with such superstars as Anita Baker, New Radicals, Uncle Kracker, and Deep Purple, Bradford helped AV Super Sunshine develop his singular sound while simultaneously bringing it ever closer to the modern musical mainstream.

As a result, “BASS FACE” showcases AV Super Sunshine’s broad span of influence and experience, its remarkably positive outlook given even greater power via Bradford’s funky grooves and polyrhythmic infusion. Tracks like “Spider Wedding” “Love NYD” and “I Am Alien” – the latter accompanied by a remarkable companion video shot in both Roswell, NM and the still-mysterious Area 51 – reveal a maximalist imagination and gift for therapeutic lyricism, their potent emotional power and inspired production affirming AV Super Sunshine as a milestone purveyor of contemporary rock, dance music, and beyond.
