Is it possible that Any teen can become popular?

David (http://goo.gl/Whqj0G) and Jonathan (http://goo.gl/j4RVHU) Bennett, co-authors of The Teen Popularity Handbook: Make Friends, Get Dates, And Become Bully-Proof (http://goo.gl/DGUPjU) says, "When you're popular, life is exciting. Popular people are surrounded by close friends, fans, and secret admirers. They have the skills to form meaningful romantic relationships and rarely get bullied, because they have the confidence to stand up for themselves and others."

Dr. Cherrye Vasquez (http://goo.gl/YfkBWf) is the author of Clique, Clique, STOP (http://goo.gl/GFr5uU) is a book that focuses on the formation of groups in school. Her book introduces the protagonist, Isabella who is Mexican-American. We meet her as she makes her way to the first day of school. She expected that the kids at her school would be Mexican-American too, but she was really in for a shock. When Isabella got to her new school, she found that the kids were from a variety of racial groups. However, the biggest problem there was that there were also too many cliques. Faced with these kinds of scenarios, it was clearly hard for Isabella to fit in her new school.

Dr. Vasquez's platform centers in diversity and bullying issues. She believes that children should love and have pride for who they are. She believes that children should have belief in themselves and their identity. She advocates for empowerment as something that is very essential to the overall development of a child.

Robert Hammond (http://goo.gl/vrIAz2), Author of Transformed by Writing (http://goo.gl/DBa7rC) and has authored numerous self-help books. He is a popular national speaker on the subject of personal and professional achievement. He has appeared on over 300 radio and television programs.

Robert says, "When you're all alone in the dark you can either close your eyes and go to sleep or look for the light. After spending more than half my life in and out of jails, rehabs, and prisons while battling drug addiction, I was a dead dog on the road of life.  Down in the darkness of death's doorstep, in the depths of despair, the light of recovery began to dawn. Then everything changed.

I earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and became an award-winning screenwriter, producer and best-selling author of over a dozen books, including Life After Debt which sold over 100,000 copies and C.B. DeMille: The Man Who Invented Hollywood which is now being adapted into a major motion picture. I released my semi-autobiographical novel, The Light, a mystical odyssey that follows Abel Adams, a brilliant but troubled young misfit desperately seeking freedom, love, and spiritual enlightenment while battling drug addiction, dark forces, and strange temptations. The Light is a surrealistic adventure tale about redemption and recovery."
